Billionaire entrepreneur and investor Peter Thiel, a California delegate for Donald Trump, is again explaining his support for the controversial Republican candidate for president.
Thiel is the highest-profile Silicon Valley tech figure to support Trump.
In his 15-minute speech, the co-founder of PayPal and Palantir Technologies said Trump is the antidote to decades of bad policy decision by both Republicans and Democrats that led to wars, housing and stock market bubbles and is sending America over a cliff.
Thiel used his speech at the National Press Club to take shots at Silicon Valley, saying its ‘elite’ denies the reality millions of Americans outside the Washington D.C. Beltway and wealthy Bay Area neighborhoods face.
