Vivienne Jolie-Pitt, the 15-year-old daughter of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, is dropping her father’s last name, as seen in recent Broadway playbills that list her as just “Vivienne Jolie.”
The teen is currently working as an assistant for the Broadway show “The Outsiders,” which her mother is producing.
The omission of “Pitt” came at Vivienne’s request, a move that mirrors a trend among the children in the family to distance themselves from their father, according to Entertainment Tonight.
Shiloh, 18, legally dropped her father’s last name when she celebrated her birthday just last week.
Her move was partially motivated by her mother’s allegations related to Pitt’s “abuse history,” a source told People Magazine.
In Jolie and Pitt’s contentious, drawn-out divorce, the “Maleficent” star has alleged that Pitt was physically abusive to her before and during an infamous 2016 private plane ride from Europe that prompted her to file for divorce.
Shiloh was the first to legally drop her father’s name, but her older sister, 19-year-old Zahara, also does not use the “Pitt” name professionally.
People in Pitt’s camp have alleged that Jolie worked to turn the children against him. A security guard who once worked for the ex-couple, and who still works for Pitt, accused Jolie of encouraging their children to “avoid” their father during visits, People reported, citing court documents related to the exes’ battle over their Château Miraval property.
