Photos: Late ‘Three’s Company’ star Suzanne Somers’ former Palm Springs home seeks $9 million
A gated 28-acre Palm Springs retreat, previously owned by late “Three’s Company” star Suzanne Somers and her husband, producer Alan Hamel, is on the market again.
The asking price is $8.95 million.
Completed in 1928, the five-structure residence at the top of a meandering driveway boasts a main house and four unique villas for a combined 7,280 square feet with seven bedrooms and 10 bathrooms. The villas include a rock house built by modernist architect Albert Frey.

Somers and Hamel owned the desert compound at the base of Mount San Jacinto for almost 45 years, as the Southern California News Group reported in February 2021. County records show it traded hands for $8.5 million in May 2021.
After holding it in a trust for two years, the new owner listed it for $12.9 million in April and pulled it off the market in June. The property reappeared in January 2024 at the current price, 31% less than its initial ask.
Multiple Listing Service photos reveal new whitewashed interiors and exteriors with fresh staging, but the structures show no significant changes.
The main house is in a European villa style. It has a two-room, eat-in kitchen with a hidden wine cellar, a formal dining room and a poolside living room.
Hillside views abound from the primary suite.
The grounds include a natural rock amphitheater, a lagoon-style pool with multiple lounge decks, a hot tub, hiking trails and a waterfall.
Compass’s Scott Lyle has listed the property just minutes from restaurants and shops in Downtown Palm Springs.
Somers gained popularity for her role as Chrissy Snow, a loveable yet ditzy character in the ABC roommate sitcom “Three’s Company.” She co-starred with John Ritter and Joyce Dewitt from 1977 to 1984.
Besides her acting career, she is remembered as a singer, best-selling author and businesswoman behind ventures like the ThighMaster exercise device.
Somers died at the age of 76 in October 2023 after a decades-long battle with breast cancer.
