Tripadvisor’s 2022 Traveler’s Choice awards continued their rollout this week with the top 25 hottest new hotels from coast to coast — a list that includes the Bay Area’s own Ameswell Hotel at No. 6.
The Mountain View hotel opened last summer on a 10-acre Moffett Boulevard parcel just minutes from the famous airfield and research center. Nearly every aspect of the hotel, from its library to its dining options — The Flyby Cafe, Airstream bar and Roger restaurant, as in “roger that” — is inspired by NASA Ames.
Other California entries on the list include wine country’s luxe Montage Healdsburg hotel (No. 21) and the Pendry West Hollywood (No. 7). Champagne is likely being popped over at Pendry headquarters right about now. The boutique hotel chain, which has six properties in all, claimed three spots on the big list.
